Keir Starmer: Release the China files.

The trial of two-men accused of spying for China has collapsed.

  • Why was critical evidence withheld from the Crown Prosecution Service, which led to the trial collapsing? Did Keir Starmer authorise this withholding of evidence?
  • What role did Keir's National Security Adviser play?
  • Was evidence withheld to win favour with the Chinese government?

Keir Starmer must come clean and release:

  • Any correspondence within Government relating to the handling of the China Spy case.
  • The attendees and minutes of all Government meetings related to this case, including the September meeting chaired by the National Security Adviser.
  • All correspondence, and minutes of meetings, between ministers and officials relating to the decision on planning permission for China's new embassy.
  • All Government minutes and correspondence relating to attempts by Jingye to secure compensation.
